Thoughts Arguments Strongholds

Lord touch my tongue - Bayless Conley

Proverbs 16:27
An ungodly man digs up evil; and in his lips there is as a burning fire.

Proverbs 18:20-21
A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

James 3:2-4
For in many things we offend all.  If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.  Behold, we put bits in the horses mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.  Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, where ever the pilot desires.

James 3:5-6
Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts of great things.  Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindles!  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that id defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Psalms 39:1-3
I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.  I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred.  My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spoke I with my tongue.

Psalms 45:1
My heart overflows with a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made for the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every though to the obedience of Christ;

It starts with a thought (take captive)... turns into an argument (cast down)... turns into a stronghold (pull down)... a stronghold is a position from which the enemy can work... and then we speak!

Take every thought captive - if you don't thoughts grow into arguments- it starts to make sense to you - need to cast down an argument - if you don't cast down an argument it will grow into a stronghold and strongholds need to be torn down.

Faith in God's word - Ephesians 5:26
