Psalms 22:9-10

"It was you who brought me safely through birth, and when I was a baby you kept me safe. I have relied on you since the day I was born, and you have always been my God."

Psalm 102:18

An Ambassador for Health

Bayless Conley

Luke 5:16-28

1.  We can bring others to Jesus for healing -
-in prayer
-give them CD/DVD or book
-do all you can to get them into the presence of Jesus the Healer
-Be an Ambassador for Health!

2.  These friends did not quit when they ran into obstacles... persistence

3.  Jesus forgave this man's sins - guilty conscience can block us from receiving

4.  The people that the power of the Lord was present to heal did not receive healing - they were not there to receive - they did not receive because of their critical spirit.

5.  The same power that forgives sins also heals (when did we loose this connection?)  It cures disease.

Sozo means save - heal- deliver = salvation (translated into the word saved)
deliverance from demons
physical healing
forgiveness from sin
resurrection - eternal life

6.  You have the right to go directly to Jesus.  If a person blocks you from getting to God - go over their heads.  No one can keep you from God

7.  Healing glorifies God!

Luke 5:16-28

New King James Version (NKJV)
16 So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic

17 Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.[a] 18 Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. 19 And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down withhis bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus.
20 When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? 23 Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’?24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”
25 Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. 26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today!”

Acts 3:12-14

How valuable is my faith in Jesus Christ?

Is my relationship with Jesus valuable enough to take a risk in sharing Him with others?

WATER HORSE -
Every time you seek God he takes you deeper than you ever thought possible.  He takes you from fear, to freedom and joy.  You don't pursue Him for very long before you realize that it was Him pursuing you all along!

Acts 3:12-4:31

New King James Version (NKJV)
12 So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. 14 But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. 16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith whichcomes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17 “Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18 But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. 19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,[a] 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. 22 For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23 And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’[b] 24 Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold[c] these days. 25 You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’[d] 26 To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

Peter and John Arrested

Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

Addressing the Sanhedrin

And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes, as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?”
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’[e] 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

The Name of Jesus Forbidden

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. 14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. 15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16 saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them isevident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 17 But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.”
18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” 21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done. 22 For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed.

Prayer for Boldness

23 And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. 24 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,25 who by the mouth of Your servant David[f] have said:
‘Why did the nations rage,
And the people plot vain things?
26 The kings of the earth took their stand,
And the rulers were gathered together
Against the Lord and against His Christ.’[g]
27 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together 28 to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. 29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

No Neutral Ground

Everything I say, think, believe, do or feel
either has its roots with and for God
or with and for Satan.

Unity is so Sweet!

Yesterday was cool.  Brent got home at midnight.  I mentioned to him that I had been thinking about a time of praise and worship here on the farm.  He said that he had been thinking along the same line.  I asked him when we should have it.  He said "how about Saturday at 2pm" that was the exact time  & day I had in mind.  I love it when the Holy Spirit moves us in unity!

I can't wait to see what God is going to do on Saturday and who he wants to work in and through or love on!

Moments of Spiritual Significance

Psalms 22:9-10
"But you are He that took me out of the womb: You did make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.  I was cast upon you from the womb: You are my God from my mother's belly."

From the moment I was born God has kept me and protected me from He that comes to kill, steal and destroy.  I cannot remember a time in my life when I did not have the hope of God's promise in my life.  I quite often have said that God must have a great purpose for my life- why else would Satan try so hard to snuff out my life, ruin my marriage, access me through my kids, keep me busy through my own perfectionism and use whatever other devices he could against me.

34 years ago, shortly after I was born my lung's collapsed.  My mom tells the story of my doctor coming into her room the next morning and telling her that I had "slivers in my knuckles" from knocking on the pearly gates.  My angels worked overtime early!

Just over a year later I was hospitalized again for what the doctors believed was throat cancer, which was quickly closing off my airway.  After the biopsy my parents were told that there was little chance of me surviving the next 24 hours.  God had other plans!

Shortly after that I was trached at Sick Kids in Toronto, Canada.  My doctor declared that I was a miracle baby since he could not find any airway and was required to do a stab tracheotomy procedure.

Through all of this my brain was protected and although I faced many medical procedures from the age of 1 to 17 my life was relatively normal.

Looking back God used times in the hospital to expose me to so many life experiences and teach me great compassion for those in different situations.

I was born with a extremely strong spirit.  Over the years it has helped me and it has also hindered me.  My spirit has kept me seeking God throughout my lifetime.  I have had an unwavering faith in Jesus from a very early age.

My spirit has also led me into rebellion and on searches for justice when none was to be found.

Recently I realized that the spirit of rebellion has had a stronghold and ran through almost every area of my life.  Rebellion against parents, medical personnel, teachers, pastors, authority structures, and God.  Working through this and re-structuring my thoughts on proper authority structures and how God has designed authority to work has taken time and is still a daily process to learn and live it out.

I could come up with all sorts of excuses for why these walls of rebellion went up in my life, however, there really is no excuse that would justify it.

How do I do justice to all that God has accomplished in my life over 34 years?  I am not worthy of all the Love He has shown me through protection, patience and mercy!!

John 10:10 "The thief comes only in order to steal, kill and destroy.  I have come that you might have life--Life in all its fullness"

Psalms 22:9-10 "It was you who brought me safely through birth, and when I was a baby you kept me safe.  I have relied on you since the day I was born, and you have always been my God."

Dreams Matter Sometimes...

Dream... March 2nd... Early morning

Brent and I drive and have a long road trip.  A long way from home I come down with signs of a severe bladder infection with no provisions there is initial panic and then a huge sense that I need to rely only and fully on God and the power of the Holy Spirit to claim my healing by the authority given to me by Jesus Christ.  Nothing else and second to nothing...

Fast forward a couple of weeks and I am on the road to see my precious new nephew!  Pit stop close to Winnipeg and I am showing obvious signs of a bladder infection.  At this time it was becoming a regular occurance for me to get bladder infections and I had been on antibiotics quite a few times.  I had been able to fight them off with Cranberry tablets and control symptoms with Advil, both which I had left at home remembering the dream that I had at the beginning of the month.  I was trusting God to take care of anything that would come.  I spoke to the bladder infection "by Jesus stripes I was healed and in the name of Jesus you must leave my body... thank you Jesus for healing my body AMEN!"

The bladder infection was done and I have not had a problem rebuking at first sign of any bladder infection since!

That dream gave me faith to believe what I had been learning in God's word and what He had been showing me.  It actually pratically showed me what it would look like and words to say.  Very cool :-)

Humble & Simple Beginnings

Every Scrapbooker starts somewhere. When I started 8 years ago I used anything that was acid-free and available to me. On my first layout I used photos that were taken with a faulty setting on our camera after the birth of our first daughter, Nicole. I used stencils, a simple gel pen, decorative scissors and silouetting. I did not have a fancy paper trimmer and knew very little about scrapbooking. When I finished the layout I was so please with the way it turned out.
Sinice my first layout I have gone through various stages in scrapbooking. Part of the reason I keep scrapbooking is because there is always something new to try and I love to express myself artistically and through my journalling. I vowed very early on in my scrapbooking hobby that I would not look back once a layout was done. The way the layout is done and the love that was poured out into that layout is just as valid today as it was the day I created the layout, even if a thousand thoughts run through my head of how great it would look if I did it over again.
Each layout is a gift to my family and to future generations, done with love from my heart and soul.
