"Living by the spirit" sounds so religious and so high above us that we think we will never be able to do it.... and if it is possible somehow we think it will take forever to learn about and to get there. This is a lie of the enemy. Another way of saying "did God really say?" I believe that the newest believer in Jesus Christ is able to walk in the fullness of the Spirit because their spirit is re-born into the fullness of the Holy Spirit in that moment. Religion and Theology and Doctrine in our churches and Christian circles has caused us to doubt, second guess, and made us to believe that it takes years of Bible school and being in the church to know what the Bible means and how to walk with God. We have become really good at "looking good" in the church but how do we look to God? Are we doing what He has called His church to do?
Understanding the Bible is simple... Read it... Believe that what is written is truth... Do what it says to do... Expect results... Act like the results are unquestionable. God Said it ... It will happen... End of story! Dont waiver. TRUST God! Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You because he trusts in You."
I would rather look like a fool to men by speaking in line with the Bible than to look like a fool to God by speaking in line with the experience of the flesh and this fallen world.
I would rather risk making a mistake while doing what the Bible says to do and fall under God's grace than to know I am supposed to be doing something and not do it... and disobey God's word for my own comfort sake. I really can't fool God with my excuses.
