How can we begin to answer the question that Satan repeats to us all the time? He really is not that smart. And more often that not we, as humans, respond the same way that Eve did...
I have come to realize that I need to be solidly grounded in God's truth in order to not get sucked into doubting what God has said or questioning what God has meant by it. As a Christian I have the Holy Spirit guiding my into all understanding, revelation and truth.
I was watching a video on redemption on http://www.osborn.org/ and simply put the root of all sin is doubt. That is where it all begins. It is wonderful when we can take a truth and simplify it. If something causes you to doubt the word of God or question what it means you can be sure that it has the stamp of satan's approval on it.
This revelation about being more solidly grounded in what the word of God REALLY says started about 6 years ago. I wanted to know what God's word said for myself instead of relying on hear say and rumours. The more I dug the more I found out how many suttle lies I had been sucked into. It is amazing how clear God's word is and how freeing it was when I choose to read it fresh and choose to take every word of it as truth.
This is still my goal... to discover God's truth... to answer the question that Satan asked in the garden "Did God really tell you not to...?" So I know without a doubt who I am following every minute of every day and am not decieved by the enemy!
